Dr. Susana Banerjee is an oncologist and research leader at the Royal Marsden Department of Gynecology, as well as the team leader for gynecological cancer at the Cancer Institute. She focuses on the treatment of ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, and cervical cancer.

Dr. Banerjee graduated with a first-class degree from St. John's College, Cambridge, and then completed medical training at the Royal Free Medical College, earning a nomination for the University of London Gold Award. He also completed professional training at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She is the winner of the research prize of Avon breast cancer Exercise Clinical Laboratory, and has obtained a doctor's degree from the Cancer Research Institute (ICR) in the UK. She completed specialized training at the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital and was appointed as a consultant doctor at the hospital in 2011.

Dr. Banerjee is a member of several national and international expert groups, including the Clinical Research Group for Gynecological Cancer at the National Cancer Institute (NCRI), the Executive Steering Committee for Gynecological Cancer at the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), and the European Society of Gynecological Oncology (ESGO) Parliament. Dr. Susana Banerjee is also an executive officer of the European Society of Oncology (ESMO) and a member of the Women's Oncology Committee. She is one of the organizing presidents of the ES8O2018 conference on gynecological cancer and co chair of ESMO2018 Asia.

Research Summary

Dr. Banerjee has published over 80 academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and actively participated in clinical trials and translational research. Her research interests include personalized treatment for patients and targeted therapy for gynecological cancer. Dr. Banerjee is the Chief Researcher of the UK and Chief Investigator of the Royal Marsden, responsible for multiple national and international clinical trials. She is an advisory board member of the international journal Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, and an editorial board member of Cancer Treatment Reviews and the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer.
